We have hit the halfway point of the NFL season with Week 9 wrapping up Monday night, and the Giants and Jets are not just on track to play meaningful games in the second half — they are both on track to make the playoffs.

Before you cue up the Jim Mora “Playoffs?!?” video, the disclaimer: A lot can happen over the next nine weeks, including two New York teams falling back to earth after a surprising first nine weeks.

But with the Jets entering their bye week and the Giants coming out of theirs, it seems like a natural time to take a brief peek at the playoff picture and see what they are up against during the second half of the season.
