Gronk goes from tight end to gym designer in Massachusetts

NFL legend Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski is getting into the world of fitness design, Gimme Shelter has learned.

The Super Bowl champ finally retired this year after nine seasons with the New England Patriots, followed by two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Now, the former tight end and Buffalo-area native has designed a gym inside the Parker, a luxury condo offering turnkey residences in Boston.

It marks the first time that family-founded Gronk Fitness is designing a private gym inside a residential condo.

The gym is 1,300 square feet in size.

Speaking of all-stars, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Real Estate Council, created in 1981, honored Corcoran president and CEO Pamela Liebman on Wednesday night.

The black-tie gala raises funds to support the museum’s general operating fund, which includes the Met’s educational programs.

The event raised nearly $1.4 million that night and featured an exhibition viewing of Cubism and the Trompe l’Oeil Tradition — and cocktails — followed by dinner.

The NYC parties didn’t end there.

Michael Stern’s JDS Development Group celebrated the completion of the Manhattan supertall 111 W. 57th St., which it’s developing with Property Markets Group. William Sofield, designer for Tom Ford and Harry Winston, unveiled his interiors, which include newly finished amenities spaces.

Stern’s project restored the landmarked Steinway Hall, once home to the Steinway & Sons piano company, alongside 111 W. 57th, designed by SHoP Architects. Marci Clark, managing director of JDS, and Dana Getman, principal of SHoP Architects, also gave VIP tours of the building. Then, guests took in a private performance by Rufus Wainwright to showcase a new Steinway & Sons Gran Nichetto piano crafted by the acclaimed designer Luca Nichetto.

Cheers.
