Martha Stewart stunned the world with her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover, and it’s resulted in some potential love interests.
Ever since she landed the gig, Stewart has “gotten a few inquiries. Just a couple,” she told Entertainment Tonight at Sports Illustrated’s party in NYC on Thursday, attended by the likes of Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly and Kim Petras.
But the 81-year-old is “still working really hard,” and a new relationship isn’t her top priority at the moment.
“You have to make time for certain things. My garden is very important,” she said.
Stewart added that her grandchildren are the most important thing in her life right now.
“It’s the best. I have two amazing grandchildren,” she shared.
While Stewart isn’t in the business of finding a romance in real life, she’s open to the idea of an on-screen love affair.
“Maybe I’ll do a movie or one of the great series that’s on now,” she said, adding that she’ll “find the right leading man” to be her love interest.
The “Martha Stewart Living” founder recently admitted she would consider going on a reality dating show — but only if the men were up to her standards.
Stewart shared with Variety that she would only go on the new dating series “The Golden Bachelor” — ABC’s spin on the “Bachelor” franchise that sees senior citizens looking for their soulmates — “if [she] gets to see the men first.”
In the meantime, Stewart is enjoying her time as a swimsuit cover model, especially since she was “kind of surprised” to get the job.
“I was just surprised because I’ve done so many other things I didn’t expect to be topping with this,” the lifestyle guru told ET.
At 81, Stewart is the oldest cover model to strut her stuff for the magazine, though she’s not a fan of getting older.
“It’s terrible!” she said of aging. “So we’re not going there. We’re not.”
Though she’s not thrilled about aging, Stewart has no interest in “altering her face” to look younger.
“I think the world has embraced the fact that you can be whoever you are whenever you want to be it,” she said. “That’s really what I think is helping. I think it’s helping people. You put on a bathing suit and you feel good about it. [People are] trying a little harder to keep your good health, your good looks, your good skin, your good hair.”
Instead, the mom of one focused on eating healthy and working out to get her bikini body.
“I didn’t starve myself, but I didn’t eat any bread or pasta for a couple of months,” Stewart shared. “I went to pilates every other day and that was great; I’m still going to pilates every other day ’cause it’s so great. And I just, I live a clean life anyway — good diet and good exercise and healthy skin care and all of that stuff.”
Stewart revealed on Monday’s episode of the “Today” show that she was approached for the swim cover shoot in November 2022 and took the photos this past January.
“To be on the cover at my age was a challenge. And I think I met the challenge,” she told hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.
