Pedestrian dead after Brooklyn hit-and-run

A drug-related dispute in Brooklyn led to a suspect running down a pedestrian in a caught-on-tape crash that left one man dead, police sources said.

The short clip obtained by The Post shows two people standing by the driver’s side window of a Honda CRV that was parked near the intersection of Keap and S. 5th streets in Williamsburg at about 12:30 p.m.

The car suddenly backed up, forcing both bystanders to quickly back off. One man tried to sprint away, but the car sped up, swerved toward him and hit him near the crosswalk.

The SUV rumbled over the 49-year-old man’s body and left him lying on the road.

The victim, whose name was not released, was rushed to Woodhull Hospital in critical condition but later died of his wounds, police said.

The driver is a known drug dealer, police sources said. The men had gotten into an argument just before the hit-and-run, and the driver took off.
