Todd Frazier is quickly rising in the broadcast world after 11 seasons in the big leagues.

He’s been a big part of the ESPN broadcasts of the Little League World Series. You see him on YES Network as well.

He also teamed up with Lance Sandwich Crackers to celebrate coaches making a positive impact on today’s youth with the fourth annual Little League Coach of the Year Award.

Coach Tom Otis and Coach Hannah Moeller were this year’s recipients.

Frazier talked the Little League World Series, the Mets’ struggles this season and their future on a new episode of the “Amazin’ But True” podcast with Nelson Figueroa and me.

‘Amazin’ But True’ Podcast with Jake Brown & Nelson Figueroa:

  • METS WIN A SERIES: Mets take three of four from the Cardinals. It’s amazing how bad the Cardinals are this season. Hard to take much from this series. Good signs from Kodai Senga continuing to dominate. Pete Alonso keeps bashing baseballs. Mets were within six games going into Sunday of an NL Wild Card, but Trevor Gott was terrible. He has not been very good for this team. We react to Alonso throwing Masyn Winn’s first hit ball in the stands.
  • WHAT TO WATCH: When will we see Ronny Mauricio and other Mets prospects? Do they come up in September? Did the Mets pull the plug too soon on the season? Shohei Ohtani comes to Citi Field this weekend. He will not pitch though. They need to show life against the Braves this week and not get embarrassed like they did last week in Queens.

Former Mets infielder

  • LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES: Full circle moment playing in it in for Toms River and now broadcasting it in Williamsport.
  • 2023 METS FAILURES: Mets probably pulled the plug too soon. Believe Steve Cohen will spend in free agency.
  • PETE ALONSO’S FUTURE: Would be a shame if he was not a Met for as long as possible. They should sign him to a long-term deal. Is he a leader?
  • METS FUTURE: These prospects will get their chance. Need to be patient and come up and perform. Love teams bringing up top prospects early and see what they got.
