Elijah Moore exits game with concussion after head hits turf in scary ‘TNF’ moment

In the middle of one of his best games of the season, Elijah Moore left early with a head injury after a scary moment on the field.

With a little under two minutes to go in the first half before the Browns eventually won 37-20, quarterback Joe Flacco unleashed a pass on a second-and-7 that Moore reached up to grab for a first down before he picked up extra yards and was taken down to the turf by Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley, hitting his head hard on the grass.

Moore lay supine on the field, and both his hands appeared to shake as running back Jerome Ford gestured to the Browns’ sideline to get help from the team’s training staff.

Eventually, he walked to the sideline under his own power and was checked out in the blue medical tent.

With 25 seconds remaining in the second quarter, he was seen walking back to the Cleveland locker room.

According to The Post’s Brian Costello, he was being evaluated for a concussion, and later, the Prime Video broadcast confirmed the wideout was ruled out for the game.

“It’s a shame that Elijah kind of got tackled on his head there, but I’m really happy for him the way he stepped up tonight and had a big game for us,” Browns quarterback Joe Flacco said after the game, per the Akron Beacon Journal.

The former Jets receiver finished the first half with five catches — including a touchdown — for 61 yards in his first game against his old club.
