You’ve been squirting ketchup wrong your whole life — here’s the secret, correct way

Never heard of this hack? Time to ketchup.

One savvy social mediaite recently had the Internet reaching for the bottle after sharing a savory hack that makes life that much easier for condiment lovers.

Jordan_The_Stallion8, known for a series of popular life-explainer videos, teased out the seamless way to make a plastic Heinz bottle pour all by itself — no burping, no spitting required.

The trick, he said, is to fight one’s natural instincts to grip the main section of the “gravity” bottles that many brands of ketchup are sold in today.

“Now, if you were to squeeze a gravity bottle from the front like this, you have to physically squeeze for it to come out,” he said, demonstrating.

“But, if you were to squeeze a bottle from the sides and then release, all the pressure is going to push the ketchup out on its own.”

Jordan claimed to have written a college paper on the history of ketchup bottling — taking a scholarly approach in his viral video.

“The original glass ketchup bottle was made in 1890 but then they made a squeezable ketchup bottle in 1983,” he said.

“But it was still difficult to get ketchup out of the bottle, so, they made what’s called an ‘upside down container’ or a ‘gravity container’ which was in 2001.”

Eventually, the the sauce whisperer warned, the bottle will begin to empty and the side squeeze won’t have the same desired effect — but he encouraged everyone to try his method anyway.

Needless to say, viewers were stunned.

“[It] baffles me how companies spend millions of dollars on developing this kind of stuff and then TELL NO ONE!”

“My life is a lie,” wrote another.
