All Tom Brady roasters were told no Robert Kraft ‘happy endings’ jokes

Comedian Andrew Schulz believes Tom Brady interceding on Robert Kraft’s behalf was genuine and not a bit.

During the roast of Brady on Netflix on Sunday, comedian Jeff Ross made a joke about the Patriots owner’s infamous massage parlor imbroglio, and Brady approached the comic and appeared to warn him not to do it again.

Schulz, who also roasted Brady that evening, spoke about his thoughts on this interaction on his “Flagrant” podcast.

“I think that was 100 percent real,” Schulz said.

“The reason why I think it was real is they told us, ‘No jokes with happy endings with Bob Kraft.'”

Schulz revealed he had planned a joke aimed at Randy Moss that would have referenced Kraft and happy endings but it got nixed.

“Tom asked us not to not to do anything with the massage s–t,” Schulz recalled an administrator for the roast telling him.

“I was like, ‘Cool. The guy [Kraft] is coming here for this thing, whatever. He’s not the one getting roasted.’ And then Jeff did it, and Tom walks up and goes, ‘Cut that s–t out.’ Think about it. This is the first comic that goes on, a live roast, and it’s your night — he was ready to shut that whole thing down. That’s an alpha-ass move right there.”

According to Page Six, Brady’s ex-wife, Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen, was upset about all the jokes aimed at their divorce during the roast.

Bündchen reportedly felt that this was an example of Brady choosing football over his family yet again, as he put the kibosh on Kraft jokes whereas barbs involving Bündchen and her relationship with her jiujitsu instructor were fair game.

Comedian Nikki Glaser revealed to Howard Stern that Brady’s kids were off-limits in the roast.

“We all collectively just decided not to involve his kids too much in anything because they didn’t ask for that,” Glaser told Stern on Monday.
